PHECC First Aid Responder (FAR) Refresher Course
This Refresher First Aid Responder Course delivers the HSA recognised standard of First Aid to those who are currently certified First Aiders. It revises the knowledge, practical skills & understanding required to provide appropriate first-aid treatment in the workplace in compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007; Part 7, Chapter 2: First Aid Training.

Learning Outcomes
- Recognise the signs of a life-threatening emergency
- Respond in an effective, safe, and appropriate manner, to a life-threatening emergency, utilising basic life support skills.
- Retrieve and appropriately use, if required, an automated external defibrillator during a cardiac arrest.
- Report and record their actions and interventions appropriately and handover to emergency medical services.
Who Should Attend
Those who wish to renew their FAR Certification
Certification & Assessment
Participants complete Practical and Theory Assessment.
Theory assessment is multiple choice questions.
Upon successful completion of the PHECC* First Aid Responder course, participants will have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective first aid in a variety of emergency situations, and they will receive a PHECC* certificate that is valid for two years.
