This Cardiac First Response (CFR) course trains learners in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to respond to someone wo has suddenly collapsed. A cardiac first responder plays a critical role in keeping a person alive until the commencement of expert medical care.

This course is specifically designed for those who wish to become a Cardiac First Responder at community level or those wishing to refresh their CFR skills. Cardiac First Responders play a critical role in keeping a person alive until the commencement of expert medical care.
Certification & Assessment
Upon successful completion of the PHECC First Aid Responder course, participants will have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective first aid in a variety of emergency situations, and they will receive a PHECC certificate that is valid for two years.
Additional Information
There is no specific entry criterion including a minimum age for undertaking the course. However, a course participant should be mature enough to comprehend the knowledge, skills and implications associated with defibrillation and have a maturity to complete assessment to receive certification.
